The Exams Office will be launching 3 online training and assessment modules for the 2018/19 academic year:
Certificates are issued if at least 25 questions out of the 30 presented throughout the module are answered correctly. You will be signposted to relevant section within the JCQ's Instructions for conducting examinations (ICE) booklet for any questions answered incorrectly.
The ICE booklet should be available when completing this training.
An online module has been created to support new Exams Officers complete an induction in their new role. This module requires those new in post to confirm the completion of a range of key tasks, and test their knowledge of JCQ's regulations. Completion should take place within 12 months of appointment.
This module can be used to achieve two objectives - as part of an annual appraisal, or as a review of exams-related activity. By confirming the completion of a range of tasks, and proving an understanding of the changes to the JCQ's regulation, Exams Officers will receive certification which can be used with Line Managers to support an annual performance appraisal, or when reviewing the 'exam year'.
